Power Over Poor Nutrition
Thursday, January 28th, 2010I recently sat in on a personal training consultation and it reinforced once again a realization I have come to find very important over the past half year or so. During the nutrition discussion this particular client was outlining her typical day and stated to us in good detail her “problem” times. She understood that her portion sizes were often too many calories, and that she was most likely going to have an unhealthy snack with her kids after school.
Without evening knowing it she holds one of the most important pieces it takes to have disciplined nutrition. EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE of your own personal behaviors. If you can recognize your poor nutritional habits you are ahead of the game in counteracting them. If you know the actions you are taking, and they are not working toward your goals, you have all the power in the world to neutralize these less than ideal actions.
Remember every decision you make is going to, in a positive or negative way affect your goal. If you truly are striving for something you need to make more of those decisions land on the positive side of that line. Educating yourself, then in the future recognizing these moments of decision ahead of time will help you make sure this is happening.
